it is nothing new in history that the US unwarrantedly interfere in the domestic politics of the third world contries.the latest one is Bangaladesh.

in the name of promoting democracy,many undemocratic acts have been committed.
The US thinks that they are the sole arbiter of all disputes.
the reason for interference is obvious.the selfishness of the US and its corporate economic and political and strategic interests.

let the US see the reality.it is not the world of 19 and 20th century.the people will resist against any interference.

The head of the defence team of Saddam Hussein accused the US troops of preventing him and his colleagues from returning to Amman.

They were deprived of an access to the media and the world's legal organizations.

"The defence team members ... under a kind of confinement inside the Green Zone since Monday, while several experts, observers and journalists who attended the last session have been evacuated," Khalil Duleimi said in a letter e-mailed to the media in Amman.

She told the court that she had seen 300,000 dollars paid in bribes to a senator. This revelation could break as a political scandal and has the potential of shattering the elected
government.

degeneration our democratic values could be found in an Argentina's newspaper under the title;’ Electoral rioters for trial’it all revealed in an electoral court in the province
of Catamarca. The court prosecuted
more than 200 people. They had involved in violent incidents during the local
elections in March 2003.

some years ago,several mayors and Peronist party members who were
supporters of union leader Luis Barrionuevo were accused of burning ballot boxes, public buildings and attacking citizens. The violence continued unabated to the extent of the suspension of the vote.

From President Bush’s news conference on Tuesday, one can easily understand his mind; that Iraq is sliding into civil war and Americans, including many of his fellow Republicans are increasingly losing faith on his handling of the situation.

Bush made a point that US troops will be in Iraq even after he leaves office in 2009.this is what the skeptics of war then said, before the beginning of this misadventure, that it would be a torturous long-drawn one and the US would lose credibility in the meantime.

U.S Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is on a visit to Australia.

She discussed China's emergence as a regional power with Australian officials in Sydney. The talks are held as prelude to security talks with Australia and Japan.

Let me quote her arrogant remarks and make my comments.
"We've said that we have concerns about the Chinese military buildup-Rice.
Why do the US not concerned about Israel’s mighty build up that threatens the asian countries?

We've told the Chinese that they need to be transparent about what their military buildup means,"-Rice

Are the US and other major powers transparent? Anyway whoever it does it is very bad.

“I don't know, I used to follow Soviet defense statistics, and so I'm always a little bit uncertain about the statistics on these things.-Rice

Here we could smell the arrogance. The US cannot be the champion of the world people.

" But I heard that there's going to be a 14 percent increase in the Chinese defense budget. That's a lot. And China should undertake to be transparent about what that means."-Rice

I agree 14 percent increase is much.but Chinese and the US , UK and others must not increase the defense spending.

In the state of California in the US,the Hollywood’s product, Arnold Schwarzenegger, influenced the course of state politics and became its Governor.

While swearing in as California’s governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger remarked: “To those who have no power...to those who've dropped out - too weary or disappointed with politics as usual - I took this oath to serve YOU.”

But, for those living in Tamilnadu, particularly those in their forties, this remark sounds familiar.

Read these lines and you will feel the similarities:

" If I were to declare an order-
And if it were to be implemented,
The poor would no longer suffer..."

These lyrics are from a film by the legendary actor-cum-politician M.G.Ramachandran, popularly called MGR.

Yes, changing the old cultural ideas to propagate the new ones may belong to the category of cultural dissent.

Perhaps the new ones might contribute a little for the development of the progressive culture of the majority in the society.

Anyway, changes in this direction are notable and can be termed as dissent.

Here is the story of my state, my birthplace, Tamilnadu, southern state of India. It gave a very unique phenomena of cultural dissent used as the political instrument through the skilful use of the medium of cinema.

No government would allow such activities inside their territory.

The British government has no other way but to order an investigation. The controversial video showed British soldiers brutally beating Iraqi youths.

Chancellor Gordon Brown, Prime Minister Tony Blair's designated successor,is talking about the reputation of the British army worldwide and the necessary action to be taken to defend it.

But how can it be done without giving up the evil habit of occupying other countries?

Who can forget the long history of brutality during colonial times? The acts of abuse and brutality could never be prevented unless the US and UK stop invasions and occupations.

But the news about the US preparations to attack Iran are pouring in.

So the act of abuse and brutality would continue as ever, in the name of democracy.
So dissent is the answer.

Is there anything called, human face of capitalism?

Now my thoughts go on thinking about the nature of the present-day capitalism.

The word, Capitalism, in its proper sense can not be attributable to the present capitalist powers. because traditional capitalist society ,contrary to the earlier autocratic feudal state would consider welfare of the people whose labor they can exploit and profit from it and seek the welfare of the planets resources which they can base their exploitation

But now the most brutal sense prevails. They concern only how to loot of the resources.
They pay attention to maximize the financial profitability of their capital in the short term. They are not hesitant to put their military means to achieve their predatory aims. They don’t have anything, called, human values.
Take for example, the American state. More vulgar economics had been prevailing than the earlier European state, from the days of the genocide against the North American Indians and the enslavement of the blacks. Although the political management had been shared by the two parties, only one party, that is, the party of capital exists in real sense.

So the present day capitalism has nothing to do with humanism.

George Bush's visit to Argentina was greeted with the massive protests and general strike by one of the main national unions,CTO.From mainstream public figures including the soccer hero Diego Maradona to the common people participated in the anti-Bush activities.
Maradona declared, "Bush makes me sick".

together with important leftwing activists, an "anti-FTAA train" started its journey to Mar del Plata - a city on the Atlantic, some 400 kilometers far from Buenos Aires. They all marched together before rallying in a soccer stadium to listen to Hugo Chavez's speech.

Two hours-long speech of the charismatic president of Venezuela before 40.000 people,was transmitted live on.

He announced "imperialism", "neoliberalism", "capitalism", and US domination.His slogan “The FTAA is dead and buried!", delighted the audience.
